Coming off the success of our pop-up shop in the Fall of 2012 , ShenkinWest is thrilled to announce that we are opening new permanent shop! Our new space is located one block north of our pop-up shop at 1726 Avenue Road. We will be opening our doors on March 18 and starting off with a bang by offering 15% during our grand opening week.

We were so happy and grateful for the reception that the Avenue Road and Lawrence neighbourhood gave us, that we couldn’t resist returning for a prolonged stay. Giving Israeli  designers the exposure they deserve, as well as outfitting the women of Toronto in funky fashionable clothing is our mission and we feel we have been given a great platform in our new location.

ShenkinWest will be carrying the same Israeli designers as always: Ronen Chen, Kedem Sasson, Rina Zin and Maya Negri, as well as a sampling of shoes and accessories from various other designers.

When we first opened the Kedem Sasson box shipped to our Pop-Up Shop here in Toronto, we were greeted with polka dots, hounds tooth, and pops of red and orange. We immediately knew his Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection was going to be a hit.

ShenkinWest’s entry into the world of the ‘Pop-Up Shop’, although a calculated move, was a whirlwind. The concept of the ‘Pop-Up Shop’ is relatively new to the retail world. In essence it’s a temporary store that ‘pops up’ in a particular demographic or neighbourhood that the retailer is interesting in testing out. The genious lies in its temporary nature; as soon as the hype is gone, so is the store.
